NARS Art of Après Holiday 2026: A First Look at the Limited-Edition Collection Coming This Winter
Why NARS Is Still My Favourite Makeup Brand
Okay, so, gun to my head, my favourite makeup brand would have to be NARS. I love their packaging, their colour range, the quality of their products — the list goes on.
My love began when I went to Sephora for the first time. This was back when most makeup brands weren’t readily available in the Netherlands, and I was eighteen years old. My mother took me to Paris on one of those bus tours that creates an entire itinerary for its passengers and drives you from A to B to C, until eventually taking you all the way back to Amsterdam again.
Rather than going along and paying for all the activities, we got off the bus at the first stop and got back on at the end of the day so it could take us back to the hotel.
At the time, I was a big makeup fiend and watched beauty vloggers religiously on YouTube. I was very aware of all the brands I knew about but couldn’t easily buy at home, and very excited that I was finally going to see them in stores.
I had very little money and spent most of it on one lipstick: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Audrey.
I still have her, by the way. She sits in my drawer, loved so well that there’s barely any product left, just enough for me to remember what she looked like.
Fast-forward to today, and my drawer is packed with NARS: their translucent loose powder, their foundations, their primer, their lipsticks, their liquid blushes, their powder blushes, the list goes on.
I have a pretty good understanding of their permanent collection by now, and I’ve bought most of the products that suit me well. For me, the limited-edition collections, especially the winter ones, are a really nice way to expand my collection and get excited about something new again.
What Is the NARS Art of Après Holiday 2026 Collection?
Information about this collection has been difficult to find. What I have found required some impressive sleuthing on my part, as well as working Google Translate overtime.
So, I’m sharing what I’ve managed to find here.
Do note: I may be wrong.
But also note: I may very well be right.
The NARS Art of Après Holiday 2026 collection is inspired by après-ski. From what I can gather and interpret, the idea is to be stylish both on the slopes and afterwards in the après-ski bar.
It’s a very fun concept and immediately makes me think of snow, frost and metallic winter makeup.
There are also few sets containing mini liquid blushes, as well as lip gloss and liner sets.
Let’s have a look at the items below, and dive right in!
The Limited-Edition Marbled Highlighter
The collection includes a highlighter with a marbled pattern of pastel peach-pink, lavender and champagne.
It’s very pretty and fits the icy, wintery theme particularly well. I wonder what it will look like once applied, as I can’t really place or envision it. I wonder how much of the lavender seeps through, as I am a pretty big fan of cool-toned highlighters for winter.
Aspen Highlands Cheek & Eye Palette
The star of the collection, for me, has to be the Aspen Highlands Cheek & Eye Palette.
The palette contains a full-size highlighter and blush in cool tones. The highlighter looks like a frosty, shimmery silver, while the blush is a cool-toned pink.
These colours look stunning and feel very wintery.
The eyeshadows are more natural shades of brown, and I do believe I can see a champagne shimmer in there as well. All of the shades in the palette are said to be limited edition.
I would love to get my hands on this one and see what the complete look is like on myself. There is something very glamorous about it without it becoming overly festive.
Snow Games Cheek & Eye Palette
There is another palette with a slightly different colour scheme but much the same feel.
The shades are somewhat darker, and this one comes with a pink highlighter. More importantly, however, it includes a gorgeous metallic, glittery-looking silver eyeshadow. Like a Christmas silver!
How cool is that?!
I’m not a huge fan of the pink highlighter, but man, is that silver calling my name.
This is currently making my decision between the two palettes considerably more difficult.
Line & Shine Lip Duo’s
In these sets, the lip liners come from NARS’s permanent collection. The glosses, however, are limited-edition shades.
The pink set contains the Lip Liner in Babylon Pink and the Afterglow Lip Shine in First Move.
The brown set contains the Lip Liner in Ultimate Pleasure and the Afterglow Lip Shine in Devotion.
Funny thing is, I already own the Afterglow Lip Shine in Nympho and Turkish Delight, and both look quite similar to these limited-edition shades. You betcha I’ll be taking my time at the counter to compare the colours before committing to one.
I don’t actually own any NARS lip liners yet, though, so I’d be very happy to pick up one of the sets.
The glosses come in a mini size of 5 ml and use the regular Afterglow Lip Shine formula.
Mini Insatiable Blush Duo’s
For the Insatiable Liquid Blushes, I have Qué Calor and Lose Control in my collection. Can we talk about Lose Control for a second? I am planning on having a Purple Winter™ and was so excited to see that NARS had a blush in that shade. I do mix it with Le Blanc de Chanel, as it is too dark for my complexion, but hey — that just means the product will last me a very long time.
I actually mix my other blush, Qué Calor, with Le Blanc de Chanel too. I am very pale, though; I wear the shade Siberia in their foundation range.
So, in the first set, we get the limited-edition shade Hooked, described as a dusty pink, alongside Fast Ride, a cool pink from the permanent collection.
The second set contains the limited-edition shade Worship, described as a winter berry, and All Access, a chocolate-cherry shade from the permanent collection.
While I can always lighten deeper shades, I still think the second set would be too dark for me overall. The colours are gorgeous, though, and I find them very wintery.
I may have to pick up the lighter one. I may have to.
The Colour-Changing Lip Balm
Lastly, there is a blue lip balm that changes colour based on your pH.
These products are always very hit-or-miss for me. I love the idea of them, but my lips are naturally quite red, and colour-changing products almost always turn into a very bright neon pink on me.
As I thoroughly enjoy browns, purples and mauves, this does not particularly gel with me.
It does look incredibly pretty, though, and I’m a little disappointed that it couldn’t have been an lipstick or balm rather than another pH-reactive product.
But we can’t always get what we want, right?
My First Impression of NARS Art of Après
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the look of the palettes and I’m almost certain I will pick one up, I just have to figure out which one.
Aspen Highlands is probably the more wearable option for me, and I really like the cool-toned blush and frosty highlighter. On the other hand, that metallic silver in the darker palette is very difficult to ignore.
At this point, the palettes are easily the most interesting part of the collection for me. The lipduo’s have the potential to be very interesting, but that all depends on how close their shades are to the existing colors in my collection.
NARS Art of Après 2026 Release Date
The collection is currently expected to launch in late October 2026.
Information about European and Dutch availability is still limited, so I will update this post as soon as I find out more, and, hopefully, again once I manage to get my hands on one of the palettes.
